The General

Over 1.8 million women have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, and over 255,000 women have deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. Today, on Veterans Day, Service Women’s Action Network celebrates their service to our nation. Each story represents a woman’s unique experience. Please listen and share with others. Keep visiting the site – these are the first of many stories we will be sharing.

Take Action

The accomplishments and experiences of service women and women veterans often go untold. You can help to change that – elevate the voices of women who have served by sharing these stories with the world. If you’re interested in contributing your story to the digital library, contact Communications Director Katy Otto at katy@servicewomen.org.
